Default rocker panels, how do i cut them out?

Well my project car has some rot on the rocker panels and the rear quarters. The rear quarters i know how to cut the rust out. However, i have never cut out rocker panels before. I am going to be cutting out my friends good ones off his honda prelude (4th gen) and i will then be cutting out my rusted ones, and having a body man weld the new rockers and quarters in place. I am just hoping someone can tell me some good points to start so i don't ruin them or ruin my car. Thanks in advance guys!

You might want to pick up a spot weld remover like one of these and cut out more from the donor car than you need because the body shop can trim back what they dont need. Keep in mind there is always more hidden than seen. To cut out the rocker use a cut off disk or one of those mini-grinders with a cust off disk. Wear goggles and gloves! I also used a drummell tool with a cust off to get into tight corners.

If you have a nibbler or even a sharp wood chisel you can cust it out that way too. When using a chisel make sure you take a lot of extra good meatal that can be trimed back after. I have gone as far as to put one of those flexi-cust off blades in my circular saw to cut parts off.

Thanks, i was thinking about just drilling out the rear 2 quarters on the donor car since they are brand new. It would mean zero welding other than welding it back onto my car. If i were to drill out the rear quarters could i just drill out the rockers as well? The other thread with the 93 prelude restoration the OP drilled everything out, could i just do that as well?

Yeah, I forgot its a donor car. Yeah I would just drill out all the spot welds with a drill bit. Thats the way to go.
