Default mugen mt105

anyone ever use this stuff? do you think its worth the money? on the tests it says the test car got better gas mileage as well as less wear on the piston ring.

I used one before, the engine is quieter. As for gas mileage, I can't really tell the different, but I don't really care anyways!!

The MT105 would be the only engine additive that I would ever put in my Honda engine.

Yup - King are selling them for $48 a pop.

Somebody would have to hit me on the head really hard before I would consider spending $48 on an engine additive. I would need to see in independent properly controlled study before I would spend a $1 on a can of this, Mugen or no.

I'm bringing this thread back from the dead

Making my engien run a little quieter might be nice... and now that I've just done a rebuild it might be a good idea

but do I have to use the stuff with every oil change?

that's my question also...how often should this be used? and if i decide to stop the usage of this product will it be harmful to the motor?
i guess kind of like going from synth. oil back to reg. oil.

No it won't be harmful. This product should be used once the engine is fully broken in, not during a break-in period.

200ml bottle. The amount varies depending on oil capacity, but basically on a B-Series motor it's 1 complete bottle per change.

Yes, the price is high, but all petroleum products coming out of Japan are expensive due to their duties and taxes on products in those catagories. There are certainly less expensive treatments that you can buy in the US that are made here, but of all of the ones we have tested Mugen seems to have provided the best results in our high end race motors.

Can you explain in more detail by what you mean exactly by testing and what exactly you mean by results?
