hows it goin guys?

a while back, i was drivin my sedan down the hiway, and it started runnin funny. i couldnt keep up to speed and was just nto acting right. i got off the hiway, put it in nuetral to coast down, and it was idling at like 500 rpm and shaking violently. i got it into a parking lot, and it still is running like that, and smells like it is just dumping gas out teh tail pipe. i was wondering if anyone knows what it could be?

search for limp mode. common happenstance that can have a few causing problems.
