So my buddy is looking to get a white 2004 RSX Type S... BUT he wants the interior of the car all black... How would he go about doing that ? Anyone? Anyone?

Really? Since when were Amber side markers and tinted windows optional?

 

i am not sure if it is dealer specific but you can get your windows tinted in PA from the dealer as an additional option when you buy a car, my buddy did it on his 06 si!! as for amber side markers, doubtful!

the ****in cars spotless, hes is trying to sell the car, if you dont have anything good to say then keep it to yourself, the windows were tinted by acura, i dont know where the side markers were done. on another note, my car came with the whole aspec package but we didnt opt for a wing at all. u can do that.

 

buy a white rsx and swap all of the interior pieces or B buy a rsx with black interior and paint it white.

or you can simply move to canada and buy an RSX-S there. certain years came with white exterior and black interior. It might have been just the 05-06's though. I am not 100% sure though.

i dont know, some people just **** me off because it seems they like to bash people that cant defend themselves, and yeah mine was all aspec but no wing and no dash kit because i was afraid it would peal or tarnish like a lot of dash kits do.

 

Yeah, you could get any piece of the A-spec kit that you wanted. That wasn't what I was questioning.

The ad is shady because your buddy is making it seem like the car came stock with black interior, which isn't the case unless he bought it in Canada.

Basically, your buddy is trying to pull a fast one. He needs to state that the interior has been completely swapped out. And with that said, there is no way I'd pay $12K for a car that's been modded that much.

 

i understand that, i know he bought another car and had it switched out, but i do know dealers around me have been known to switch out interiors to get cars sold, and ive striped down many interiors in rsx's its about a days work to switch them out and fit perfect. there really isnt anything that makes the factory install special since half the time im pullin dashes to find stock rattles anyways. switching an interior isnt that big of a deal. it just mkaes the car look more badass in this case.

 

A mod that extreme needs to be disclosed, PERIOD. Also, it needs to state that the sidemarkers are not factory nor is the tinit. I don't care who did it...it isn't a factory or Acura OEM option. Again, it's a shady ad.

And I don't know of a single dealer around me that would strip down a $25K car and swap the interior around with another. Even if they did, I wouldn't want it as it's a major mod and it will hurt resale.

As for being more badass...I think the titanium interior fits well with the white. I wouldn't trade.

i have seen this car and yes it does make it look more badass.....as for an extreme mod not really.... you are tooo worried about something that doesnt pertain to you at all yeah he should state that it has been swapped because that would cost some good money and that car looks great.....i would hate to sell a car to you that might have tinted windows and a different set of wheels...watch out its not OEM the only other person i know whos more worried about something being OEM is my grandma haha so suck it up bud aftermarket parts are okay....no scratch that aftermarket parts are better than OEM they are the best

 

NOT entirely true at all, some people half *** their work on their car to make a quick buck.
NOT all aftermarket parts are better then OEM. Think about the quality, brand, installment, and IMO body kits are considered aftermarket and I know for a fact that they are WORSE then OEM, well majority with some exceptions. Euro tailights that fade, heavy spoilers with no use, useless vents, the list goes on and on.

Your grandma is a very smart lady then. You should be very proud, you should visit her.

Tinted windows is not a completely swapped interior and you know it. Apples and Oranges.

As for your screwed up comment about aftermarket being better than Honda OEM--it is just that--screwed up. Very few aftermarket parts are better than the OEM Honda part they replace unless you spend some cash on quality.
