Need help locating Helms.
I am looking for the helms manual for a 95 accord ex. I have the ones for 93 and 94 and they would be ok except for the fact that i'm trying to custom wire my egr, tps, and map for a motor swap so it has to be the right schematics. From 93 to 94 the wiring is diff for these sensors so i would assume its changed for the 95 model as well. Does anyone know where i can find it? possibly for free as well...
Well the 4th generation accord was 90-93 and 5th is 94-97 so I would assume the 94 would be the same as 95 as they used the same chassis code, engine and others. My Haynes manual is for 5th gen and covers my car completely so your manual, in theory, should be the same.
Is your swap to a JDM engine, many times JDM and USDM wires dont match??? That is how Japan makes so much money, there are at least three different types of models that all have the same exact name, JDM, North America and General Export as a minimum.
I know the prelude is jdm. As for the accord ex motor..... I have no idea. And I dont have access to the donor car so How would I find out? The motor is a 95 F22B1 SOHC vTEC and the prelude came stock with an F22A1.
90-93 / 94-95 / 96-97 all had different wiring in some regard. There are some helms manuals available online. If you Google Honda manuals you'll find them easy enough. The one your looking for would be the Accord CD7-CD9 manual. If your looking for 94-95 OBD1 wiring diagrams. If your looking for OBD2 diagrams you'll need the 96-97 Wiring diagram PDF.
Doesn't anyone know how to use a search engine? H-T is a great forum but it's not your only source for technical information.

As I understand you want to swap out f22a1 for f22b1, it's pointless!!! I had a 94 Accord LX with f22b2 (5spd) and decided to swap it for f22b1+5spd trans taken out of 95 Accord EX. You can expect alot of parts that don't match.; First of all it's an ECM with v-tech controller. 4 -10 wires must be added directly from ECM to the engine. air intakes are different and f22b1 has an extra sensor that must be added+wiring... ohh, and about the topic, Helms doesn't provide any wiring diagrams, I got the book and it only explains the mechanical work. Over all this swap doesn't improve the performance, cuz 15-20hp are not enough to feel the difference. Unless you want to add h22a series engine.

I bought the car for 350 bucks with the f22b1 already in it. I have the f22b1 ecu and harness. I just want the motor to run properly and have vtec. It seems as you got the swap figured out already, if you do, please help! I need all the info I can get.
i saw your photos. you car will do nothing unless ALL the grounds for the harness are in place. start off with the one on the rear of the engine and go from there. i think there are two: the one in your pic and there is another ground on the left of the engine on your coolant inlet on the head. best way to do it is to follow the engine harness and account for every connection. also, look up some wiring diagrams to help you along. good luck
Compression, timing (mechanical), timing (spark), spark, fuel pressure, fuel injection, air flow (in & out, no restriction), is the computer alive, do you get a check engine light, do you have any codes in the computer even though the CEL does not light up all the time.
