Eg custom exhaust- What setup
I have a eg hatch running a straight pipe w/ no muffler.
Looking for a cheap fix that sounds good too. It will be turbo'd in the future. (1-3 months from now) But I was thinking of doing 2.25" piping from a muffler shop. And either a apexi n1 or a buddy club racing spec muffler.
Would you do this? How would the sound be, and do I need to replace resonators or cat. converters?
Thanks, just looking to make a custom cat back, with out as much cost as a aftermarket full bought one.
Post pics if you can of your eg hatch and what exhaust set up.

just put the muffler closer to the engine, it keeps it from being ricey, and no fart can hanging out the back. I have been telling people this forever but nobody wants to take my word for it. Do it and you won't be disappointed. Having the muffler closer to the engine gives the exhaust time to resonate AFTER the muffler. It creates a really aggressive sound that doesn't sound thin or tinny. I recommend a magnaflow straight through. Nobody will sound like you if you do it that way.
