Icon6 Bogging/Sputtering

Just today my car started bogging down. F22B1 with bolt-ons. Only does it under heavy acceleration (more than 35% throttle) with rpm's under 2500. Soon as I pass that 2500 mark, smooth. That said, I can get out and romp on it and she'll never skip a beat. But if I want to speed up to pass without downshifting, fuct.

Been doing research but none of the OP's were ever very specific. Leads me to believe the fuel filter is at fault?

Anyone with insight would be appreciated.

Nobody huh? The thing that bothers me, day before yesterday when this began, I had detailed the car inside and out. Hosed down the engine bay (avoiding the dist and intake) and hit it with Simple Green. Could water have gotten into a connector or something to cause this?

Same issue friend.

Here is what Ive done ...

- Spark Plugs
- Spark Plug Wires
- Cap & Rotor
- PCV Valve & Grommet
- EGR Valve, Port, & Pathway Cleaning (2x)
- Tranmission Drain & Fill (with Honda MTF)
- Distributer 'O' Ring (I dont think this has anything to do with it)
- Multiple Bottles of Fuel Injector Cleaner
- Seafoam in the Gas Tank

Nothing works!

Try checking all your plug wires to make sure they are pushed in all the way, i had this same problem last week after detailing the engine bay.

Mine did this for years. I can't figure it out, but it hasn't done it in a long time. Alot of oil change after running gunk remover and using additives in my gas and it stopped?

Okay, got to thinking. Vtec engages at 2500 rpm, where the sputtering stops. The connection on between the harness and solenoid is jacked.... only a pin left on the solenoid side. I hit it with some WD-40 and played with it a bit. It still sputters but not like it was. Will only putt once (or not at all) and accelerate fine.

Going to replace the solenoid and connection and see what happens.

thers water in your distributor just take the cap off and dry it out with a rag that will do the trick.
