Default OBD II Alternator into OBD 0 91 CRX

Its for a friend of mine, he has a 91 CRX, with a 90-93 LS Swap, and a OBD II Alternator. is there anyway to get the alternator to work with that car? Some plug or switching some wires or something?

you can either get an obd2 plug and cut and splice, or use a obdo or obd1 voltage regulator so it plugs in

Any write up or pointers as to what or how to cut and splice it? And what is the voltage regulator? And thanks for your response!
