ok...so i removed the stickers last night..but now what about the emblems ???
stickers are gone...now i wanna take of the emblems, i'll refrain froom doing the rear one , cause i know it has holes, but what about the front...is there gonna be a hole on that one too ?? any help, or tips on safe removal will be greatly appreciated..thanks
damn...that sucks....oh wells i guess the emblems will have to stay on abit longer...
You really don't notice the holes unless you're close up to the car. I haven't had a front emblem for almost a year now. Doesn't bother me any.
Do it all! Come to the darkside...
Do the stickers, emblems AND the wing...
Stickers come off easily enough. Just peel with your fingernails and use an adhesive remover.
The wing starts with some fishing line or dental floss and then fingernails and of course the adhesive remover.
Both Front and Rear badges can be pried with an older credit card for leverage and even some fishing line when you get towards the center. The Front one has small one way clasps that hold the tabs on so the best way to remove it is to remove the Whole nose and pry from the rear. The Rear comes off easily and was ALOT easier than the front since it was not affixed with the tabs. Adhesive remover again here to clean up the glue.
After all is done and removed, a good cleaning washing, polishing in the New bare spots and a coat of wax to protect is in order. Maybe 2 coast for the new bare spots as well. I just wax the nose twice anyways.
tape can be used to cover the holes temporarily until you want to either fill 'em or replace the red badging with stock silver like I did.
Then it's DONE!
Any questions?
Heres mine for you: Is yours PY or Black?
Good luck,
A.
