turn your ignition key in the on position... do you see an amber light that lights up ABS?? if not chances are you don't... you can also call your local dealer with your VIN # and they can tell you if its ABS equipped or not...

if you can snap a pic of your engine bay, i'll be able to tell you.. you are basically looking for the ABS pump which looks like a box with hard brake lines coming out of it.

and the only difference between an ABS axle and a non-abs axle is the gear tooths for the ABS. everything else is the same.

you all can correct me if i am wrong (which i probably am) but only the ex's and up came with ABS, right ?

As already stated you don't have ABS, but for anyone else reading this thread, when in doubt buy ABS axles as they'll work on both ABS and non ABS civics and integras.

Not a good susgestion if there is a core charge on a rebuilt axle though.

Doesn't really matter, you've still got a core, its not like most guys at the parts counter check that closely.

I have seen alternators come in of unknown origin (but definitely not a match to the old car the new one is going into) to be traded for a core and there has never been a problem.

Most of the businesses seem to take it as a core is a core is a core.

The chance anyone would catch such a small difference is slim.

Rebuilt axles will usually have cores. New ones, of course, will not.
