Post Integra Front End on a Civic

hey there, so i have a 2000 civic si and i had a few questions to the wealthier honda minds than me. has anyone put an itr front end on an em1. i love integras and civic and i would like to put the best of both worlds together. i know there would be raciator support modification and the fenders. i heard that u had to possibly touch the hood as well. if anyone has any info or pics, if u could just le me know that would be awsome. the em1 is away for the winter and i would love to do the changeover if its not too difficult. thanks

What do you mean by "ITR"? Do you mean USDM? Because that's just a regular Integra front. Why waste the extra money on the "ITR"?

If you mean JDM or overseas equivalent, then that's different.

I've never seen that conversion; at least not here on H-T. Most people here don't like conversions.

I'm not sure it will be a bolt-on affair - if you can't do body/sheetmetal work you may not want to dive in too deep.

Yeah, it looks great if you're on the east coast.

Everywhere else it looks kinda off. The EM1's lines don't match up with the ITR front's lines design wise very well at all. It's going to look like some badly put together accord or something.

The EM1's body is very rounded. So is the stock front end.

The JDM ITR front end is more linear and pointy/flat. It's a "sharp" shape, not a rounded out one.

Ofcourse it's been done before.

Name a front end. Any front end, it doesn't matter.

(Insert front end here) conversion has been done on a 96-00 civic.

I've seen the ITR front on a EM1. Looks stupid. Doesn't make sense.

I really don't like front end conversions but that looks pretty sick! Never seen the JDM front on a Em1 before. Clean car.

well, i was trying to figure out how that would look when i first saw this thread.. my initial thought was "well.. i'm sure it has been done since everything has been done at least once" but wow.. it looked a lot better than i thought it would.

now, it wont always come out looking that nice! that was a very well done conversion, and its all the other stuff that makes it that much better. Make sure you are careful with the em1 front end as all that stuff is worth some money. So make sure you dont damage anything, and if you do the conversion, hit me up since i need some front end parts as well! thanks!

I have seen eg's before with the jdm itr front end and i dont really think it looks anywhere near as good as on the em1. The eg's body is more rounded and bubble shaped as oppose to the em1 which seems to be wide enough to accomodate the itr front end as well as slightly more box or geometrically shaped if you catch my drift.

Either way, both pics of the swaps are damn clean swaps with alot of work in each one. However the em1's continuation of the fender lines as well as it appearing to have a wider body make the itr front end look right at home, similar to that Civic that is sold as an Acura in foreign countries(someone will know what im talking bout). The itr front end on the eg looks quite a bit wider that the area where the fenders meet the doors of the car and molding the area from the middle of the wheel wells to were the fender and door meet on the eg does not look factory.

None the less, they are clean *** front end swaps! Guess i better get back to work
