FS: Ninja ZX6R (600cc crotch-rocket)
(pics down below)
I am selling my 2000 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6R. I had an ad in the local paper and thought I would put it on here just to see if any of you could give me some input on my asking price and to see if anyone was interested.
The bike has about 5400 miles on it, is red, 600cc, very fast. It has some cosmetic damage on the left side where it was layed down on the street after someone brake-checked me in traffic, sending me on a pavement ride for about 50 feet. (search and you can find my post about it) The left lower ferring and the edge of the left handle bar and rear sissy handle are scraped as well as the left turn signals, though they actually did not break off and still work. The crank case (I guess that's what it is) is scraped pretty good too. All in all, it is only cosmetic damage and the bike runs fine. I had it checked out by our local shop and was given a rediculously high estimate to fix it so I've decided to try selling it as-is in hopes of paying off my note on it with the money from insurance and the selling price.
I am asking $3500, but will take the best offer. I would like to sell ASAP so I can stop paying payments and insurance on it. I already have a couple offers, but they were slightly lower than I hoped, so hoping to get more.
** I will post up pics later if anyone is interested.

I think the flash from the camera makes the scrapes look worse than it is ...but that only matters if you don't plan on fixing it I guess

just wondering but what was it estimated to get it all fixed? im guessing there is about 2 grand worth of damage plus labor to put it all back on, ive been lookin for a new bike but really should wait till next spring so i can get a new 2003 r6.. thanks man
They wanted more, that's why I opted to just keep the bike. I'd have been forced to try and sell the bike for over $5500 and I didn't think it would bring that new even. So far I've gotten a few lower offers, which I might just take if I don't get any other offers....
hey bro, there isnt any dents/ dings in the frame is there? Did you report it to insurance? What is the title status? Will it have a clear title? Would you be willing to crate it and drop it off at a forward air shipping depot?
Drop me an email and let me know, if it doesnt cost too much to ship i am definately interested and I have cash in hand. drop me an email and let me know.

I like your bike and am interested but it'll be a month or two before I could buy it, for those interested I looked up the parts at bikebandits.com the total is around $900 for the parts pre-painted so somebody handy could come away with a bike for about $4500 pretty good deal to me. Hopefully this will still be around come sept.1....well hopefully for me.
thanks for everyone's comments - particularly the info about bikebandit.com. However, I'm only interested in selling the bike to someone closer by. If I didn't have several offers from people within a couple hours driving distance I would consider other options.
here are some day pics though:
