Type S badging doesn't just apply to the K20 in the RSX-S. Type S has been or is used on several Honda and Acura models regardless of the engine. I researched Hondas meaning of Type R versus Type S. It basically boils down to Type R means racing and Type S means street. My car fits into the street category.
Therefore I will not further debate about why I used Civic Type S badging for I have already had this debate a long time ago. It is not stupid. Nuff said.

gotta agree....nice car & collection of parts, but that Type S badge has to go
so are you saying if i 'race' my car at the track, its worthy of a Type R badge even if it has not even 1 Type R part on it?? if there's a base RSX & an RSX-S, what does that make the base RSX if its not 'street'?? type gutter?

You can interpret the Type R and Type S meanings any way you want.
I am referring to what HONDAS meaning was behind the Type R and Type S badging.
Discussion is now closed about Type anything.

lol @ type s badging.
car has a few nice parts, lip, rims, interior.. headlights & tails definitely negated all that in my eyes.
hope you like it though.
PS: regardless to your bogus 'explanation' badging a car as something it is not (from manufacturer) is rice. period!

I mean, I see a lot of effort/thought in your car, its the just the few minor things I see that bother me. I'm not trying to 'own' you or anything at all. And even though my 'post count' makes me look new, I've been here over 4yrs on my prev. name.
Any day of the week.. Faking the funk

Regarding headlights and taillights, I have already had that debate a long time ago as well. If it is the looks that bother people, then so be it. But if it is the function of them, that is where I differ. My headlights and talilights perform better than the OEM ones.
Retrofitting HID's into the fluted OEM headlights doesn't work properly with the light dispersion. It is best to retrofit HID's into aftermarket clear headlights, but then people will yell rice. Plus HID retrofitting it is not street legal in many states including California. TYC made a limited run of 500 sets of these that were designed specifically for HID operation. They carry a DOT approval and TYC legal certificate.
The Depo LED tails have the same layout of the brake lights, turn signals, and backup lights just like OEM. The difference is the translucent versus fluted lenses. The red LED's light up better and brighter than the OEM ones.
Understood.

But just because I have a ton of JDM parts doesn't mean that I was going for 100% JDM correctness. I am going for the best from all sources, not just JDM.
