involves cutting on a lazer and custom making the acrylic overlay, and electroilluminescent light source with inverter.

print crx logo on the printer. take to lazer operator and have him or her draw it up on cadcam or other software. must be atleast 300watt lazer for low burr. material must be stailess steel with aprox 0.060 thickness. then go to powder coat shop (red). to make the acrylic material you will need an original civic indiglo garnish, take apart and then take it to a acrylic shop and have then duplicate. that will run about $200. the lazer work runs about $200 also. the fun part is taking it apart without breaking it. you will need a shop grade heat gun. this will take about 2 to 2.5 hours. remove all old glue. ALL or it will leak after. to cut garnish take to a cnc router and have then cut it to the exact fitment for the acrylic piece, don't be cheap if you want it to look good these. then find a electroilluminescent strip you can usually find in a local neon shop, make sure you get an inverter. the rest is pretty self explanitory.
remember this is not going to work if you only have limited funds and even then you are taking a risk. good luck

I just recognized it now but why have you taken the PreFacelift center garnish - you have installed Facelift tail lights??

I see you know your stuff, no allot of people know about the pre facelift. actually it because the foglight is separate, to make the color of the center garnish match the tailights i had to slightly smog it from the inside.

well...you need to start another one, maybe to sell. Im just saying that you need to do another project like this then take pics of the process so we can all get the full experience.

nice work.

Will this work with a civic one? I know there's a jdm piece out there already but I want to make my own, like yours.
