98 DB8 w/ ITR swap... need cruise control...
As the title states I have a 98 GSR Sedan that came with cruise control but the car has a B18C with a B16A tranny and there is no cruise control. I need cruise control on the car. I drive almost 100 miles a day on the highway and cruise would be very nice. Can I get the factory cruise module or do I have to get an aftermarket peice? I didnt know if the factory cruise would work with the B18C since the ITR's didn't come with cruise. Thanks for the help in advance.
it should...
are you talking about engine wise?
it seems like the cruise control works by pulling on the gas pedal assembly, and not the throttle cable. (the pedal gets lighter when you use cruise control.) so the different engine doesnt affect cruise control. gs-r and itR should share the same parts for the gas assembly/cruise control module.. so the mechanical aspect yes.
the electrical parts....!?@ i know itr steering wheel has no buttons for cruise, but GS-R steering wheel has it for sure.
most likely yes, it will work.

On 5 speed integras and civics, cruise is operated by the little black box on the driver side of your engine bay, and the control module which is located under the driver side kick panel (it says auto cruise on it). The black box has a cable going to it, which holds the gas pedal when you set your cruise. So basically just get the black box and cable from any 5 speed EG chassis or DC/DB chassis car, and as long as the plug is still there you should have no problem. Good luck!
