Mount the deck from the rear with a back strap. Most kits have provisions to mount the kit to the sub-dash, not sure what type of kit your using thou.

Get the Metra kit... http://documents.victorytechnologies...roduct/844.pdf much better then that Scosche multi kit you got at Wall Mart, or find a stock pocket and use those "ISO" mounting holes and some custom brackets to mount the HU to the stock kit and install a metal "L" bracket on the back of the HU and attach it to the stock rear support brace, just like the stock HU is held in place.94

thanx guys, well when i bought the car, the previous owner cut the stock harness also, so i had to get one from the junk yard and re do the harness back to stock, and then it never came with a radio, just the metra front peice, where the cage went to, seems like i gotta do sum customizing, i had an l bracket, but it was a lil short, so i was wondering how other teg owners did it, but yeah i'll prob get @ it on thanksgiving break :D, i needa get that sob in place!! looks so annoying, and its so easy to pop out, thanx for your guys help :D appreciate it, let you guys know on the outcome :D

If the stock dash and radio is all intact, can't an aftermarket head unit be installed without any sort of 'mounting kit'? Just pull out the stocker and insert something else?
