Just a shell would be fine. I have a 92 Prelude SI that the title was sent in as scrap. I called the DMV. They told me since it was scrapped by where I bought and they doesn't have a resale licence all it's good for is parts.

It's way too nice to be crushed....


Any help would be great.

So I can title a Prelude made by swaping all the good parts. I traded some scrap metal for the car and have purchased A few hundred in parts before I found out the title issue...

 

i had a lil problem with my title when i bought my hatch.. previous owner put white out over a mistake and it void's the title.... i had to get papers for replacement title and send em to the dot. they took a couple weeks then had a guy come inspect the car and he gave me a new vin and i finally got the replacement title.

 

In WI he could have sold me the car with a salvage title if he had a resale licence for selling cars. All he has is a salvaged parts resale licence. Since he doesn't have the needed resale licence the titles are sent in to the DMV as scrap and can't be titled again.

Even if I could get salvage title it costs about $300.00 to inspect it... Thats why I'M looking for a Prelude with a clean title.
