purchased crx..
just purchased a crx and it has a dohc zc in it. does this motor take unleaded or premium? I put unleaded in it and in low(er) rpm it seemed like when i got on it a little bit it would start to studder.. I really didn't notice it before driving it though, but it could have been before i filled it? Any input?
Also, the transmission is bad, but im not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The specified fuel for a DOHC ZC is 95 RON, which is 91 octane at US pumps using the (R+M)/2 rating method.
I doubt you would have an issue running 89, but you may get some knock under load with 87 octane. However, it is unlikely that you would notice an actual difference in engine performance.

As with any used car purchase, do a basic tune up. Plugs, cap, rotor, fuel and air filter, oil change, etc. is a good start. I would run 92 octain, but you could get away with mid-grade, performance and milage may increase with 92 thou.

well i believe i put 87 octane in her... But i think she should be fine. I dont plan on beating on her. Tomorrow i will replace the plugs and wires, as well as the fuel filter and give her an oil change. Thanks guys.
