Ep3 tranny swap
i need some help. i think i want to get the type s tranny instead of a exhuast. will this be a hard swap ?and what tools are required and parts would i need to do the conversion wiring hardness.
It's easy if you have the correct tools, a garage, a weekend, and the know-how. No wiring necessary.
You will need a new clutch kit (friction disc, pressure plate, release bearing) and 3 quarts of Honda MTF. New axle seals are usually a good idea since they're inexpensive. Do not buy some super high-po dragmaster killer clutch for a car with near-stock power levels, unless you want to needlessly accelerate wear on your drivetrain and break stuff. A simple Exedy/Daikin OE-spec replacement will work fine. You should also have the flywheel resurfaced to avoid clutch chatter.
