engine speeds on freeway, part 2
I have installed a "MPOA" transmissions with an "AAO" torque converter. these are correct transmissions and torque converters for my 1994 Honda Accord EX Wagon. However, I purhcased the units from a "JDM" distributor. The tranny has (MPOA#####) stickered on there, which makes me think the unit could be USDM, as JDM units don't ususally have SNs on there (correct me if I'm wrong).
Anyhow, I think the torque converter locks up (some of you might recall the woes I was(am) having with that issue); my question is, what are your engine speeds on the freeway? For my car, with lockup engaged, it's about ~2900rpm at 60mph. about 3350rpm at 70mph. about 3800 at 80mph.
I was on the freeway and looked over a new Civic with its large speedo display, and it seemed like I was about 5mph off when going 6mph. my speedo was reading too fast. I have the correct tires on the car.
Anybody positively know the gearing on these transmissions? i know gen5 Accords had MPOA or AOYA trannies, are they different?
Sorry for the rambling, but thanks for any help.
