Selling the liberty transmission?
Why does it seem like everyone is selling their liberty transmission? Is there a better company everyone is changing to? People need money? Whats going on?
mine has been for sale before miller even posted his...dont know what hes doing, but i need money, and this trans does me no good sitting here without a running car to use it in!!! someone buy it!!!
i heard there is a hot new option coming to market from PPG -- not trying to ruin everyone's sales but gotta let the market know what is on the horizon
the liberty stuff seems to all be working just fine as Tony is continuing to run 8 second passes on his and Joe keeps going deeper and deeper into the 9s
but then again the PPG is far from proven for the B Series as of yet so hard to just jump ship from the Liberty to an unproven gearset
i know my Gforce will probably be going up for sale pretty soon -- not necessarily to a change for another gearset but to recoup some money and seeing as how we don't plan on running the car a whole lot in 2009 no reason to have it around when we can still have fun with the the car with OEM gearsets in it.

It better hold up though, otherwise price is moot.
I'm excited to see that enter the market though, however take a look at PPG's site and take a look at how in depth they go to explain everything so that you, the end user knows why it's better.
Opposed to just stating a product is better, a nice website is a good way to get the picture across lol Something Liberty is...well...

You should see the PPG's/Bullhead into production mode in time for next seasons first races from talking with Erik, feel free to email him for more info though!
PPG is based in Australia and means Pfitzner Performance Gearbox, unless he changes his name I don't think a change will happen haha
But Erik is Bullhead gears and it looks great next to Bullseye power turbos

The MFactory dogbox is under development just now and testing will probably be around Spring time. The reason for the the few months development delay is because, while everyone else already have B-Series Dogboxes (yes, PPG already have them, they just need to start mass producing them), MFactory are designing a new dogbox from scratch using gears to improve upon design flaws common amongst the other manufacturers. The whole setup will be around the $4k mark and will include the Gearset, Final Drive, Billet Cuff & Forks"
One other thing. AFAIK, MFactory are the ONLY company to offer Forged gears for the Honda aftermarket.
I give both PPG and Mfactory a big
. Way to innovate for the future guys!

Who did liberty use for their material and treatment? People will pay the price as long as you can supply a bulletproof box. I would be willing to pay $6k for a bulletproof box, wait I did. PPG
we paid $5700 for our ppg tranny summer of 06 if any would like to see pics of the used tranny after racing and driving it from ny to e town nj, still looks like new. the first time i saw the g force and the liberty gears i personally thought they were junk in comprison to the ppg!
I know a lot of people, including those already mentioned, who will be jumping ship next season, especially since there will be a lot more choices/options available (and better ones at that)
the PPG is not out yet - no solid pricing on it either from what I know but should be in the ballpark of all the others give or take 5-10%
i hear the PPG stuff should be available around or just after the first of the year
the pricing on any of this stuff doesn't matter at this level -- i think most of us can attest to that -- we are all willing to pay if the gearsets are "bulletproof" or at least can offer us a lot of hits before we need to check/change anything
