So more door handles were broken on both side its a 97 hatch back. So i ordered the passenger side one off of ebay i wanted to see how well it held up before i bought both. So my idiot friend came over and just started taking c clips out of everywhere inside the door. On the inside of the door handle theres a bar that attaches to the handles when the handle is gripping on the outside that bar will then move and open the door from the lock on the interior hinge.

Well mine keeps popping off It has the same design as the honda one. Thats like a clear little plastic peice that the bar slides into and then you have to adjust height i guess thats why theres threads. Also this bar runs to the inside of the door jam on the rear side of the door is there supposed to be a C clip there? I mean as soon as i lift the handle up the bar just shoots right out of the handle. Any suggestions do i have to bend the little plastic peice on the handle onto the bar to stop this?
