Default CRX b16A Won't Start HELP!!!

Hello Honda Tech.
I'm new to your forums and would like to ask for your help!

Ok I have a 88 crx that a a b17 gsr in it. That motor ****ed up so I found an old b16A lying around and brought it to the shop for a swap.

The b16 was running fine before in an integra so i know this motor is not trash.

I pretty much observed the whole swap and it was done pretty good.
The only problems we ran into was the wiring was different for the distributor but we bypassed that by running the wires straight into each other.

Sorry about the long post but here is where I need the HELP!!!

The car will turn over and it really sounds like it wants to start but it won't.
The people at the shop say the motor is shot and there is so little compression that it won't work.

I know this motor will work. Please someone help me!!!!

All they told me is the compression is too low.
I will find out exact results of the compression test and post them tomorrow.
It is definitely getting spark.

Tomorrow I am going to check the timing belt, Valves, and the coil.

Someone suggested to do a leak down test...
Can someone tell me what exactly a leak down test is??
