Default another GSR cluster into a EG question guys.

Hey guys i just purchased a GSR cluster for my 93 civic hatch, i downloaded and book marked all the wire conversion charts here and on other sites,I want to combine the EG and GSR cluster so it bolts right in, i was wondering if any one else had ever had that idea? and if so what did you do about the clear glass?

yes, if is going on a eg the cluster glass needs to come off, unless you trim off the bezel that goes in front of the cluster like the gsr cluster shape, and you will also need to make some custom made brackets, just get the metal strips with holes from the hardware store and you should be able to bend them and tight up the cluster, its not a perfect fit but no one will notice unless they look closely.

That link is alot of work, but never the less impressive.

I just trimmed my bezel to accommodate the enlarged upper section of the the integra cluster, and used the trimmed plastic to make my mounting brackets. It turned out ok. Fortunately bezels for civics and integras are a dime a dozen, so I was able to find extras with little effort. I will be trying to either adapt the two or redo my mounting so that the cluster is further back and the trimming on the bezel will be minimized.

I also trimmed the dash piece when i swapped my cluster out but after seeing the retro fit of combining the 2 clusters together i will be going that route because it looks much better. i had already picked up a second dash piece because i knew i would redo it at a later time. excellent write up.
