well im new to this site, but anyway, i have a problem with the motor i put in my crx, i took it out of my hatch it was a 91 with a b16 j-spec with a ys1 tranny. my crx was sitting for like 2 years and i redone the b16 motor bc i was going to put it in the crx. but here lies the prob i had to take all the wiring out of the hatch, the motor wireing and inside bc i had a short in the crx and thats why it was down them 2 years. well all that is done and the motor runs but when it revs up its kinda slow and when it goes into vtec it dont get any faster lol, the motor was super fast. i was wondering since the 90 crx hf i have has a tach in the dash, the 91 hatch didnt but it had a aftermarket tach in it, will the tach in my dash afect the vtec if i have anouthere aftermarket tach hooked up? so i was going to try and put the outher dash in it and see if it still does it. i only got a 140 miles on the motor but i still think it should pull if i put alittle peddle into it up hill and stuff, please help i will try and give you more info when you ask. thanks

 

never mind ppl, i awnsered my own qustion, you cant have 2 tachs. if you have one in your dash and an aftermarket one vtec wont work if there not in sinc with one anouther, the one in the dash had to go, so now it works fine
