It will get louder and thats about it unless you have a turbo motor or at least a motor with a couple bolt ons. Oh and if it's obd2 you will throw a check engine light.

you may see a small power gain...like mentioned above, if OBDII you will trip a CEL and your car will be louder...and you will pollute the enviroment alot more...not really worth it IMO

intake header and cat will make a decent power gain. More than just punching out your cat. Be careful if you do punch out the cat as it is illegal and if you get caught there is a very large fine involved. I will admit ive done it but couldn't tell a huge gain and it was much louder. Get a high flow cat with your intake header and exhaust and you will be happy and not pollute.

i dont think so. just leave it alone. dont fix it or in this case dont remove it if it isn't broke.

Gutting your cat will do nothing!!!!! Contrary to what people say, having a high flow cat is the best thing to do. When you gut your cat it actually creates an exhaust "stagnation" where the exhaust kinda slows down in the empty 'now oversized' piping, thus it doesn't flow as it should throughout the system. YOU WILL GAIN "0" POWER!!!. BUT, if you dont have the money to get a high flow cat gutting the cat will be beneficial and your car will have a louder more "throaty" sounding exhaust. Also by having no cat your car will smell really, and i mean really bad after like 20 min of driving.

The honda oem exhaust manifold is kinda heavy actually for what it is. It rusts mad easy. It has a lack of low rpm torque and a lack of high rpm power. (im talkin b16) By putting a good 4-1 Header ( like the dc sport ) you'll notice at initial acceleration you dont have to rev as high for the car to move fast enough from a stop light due to increased torque and at high rpm you'll feel an increase of power around 7500rpm to 8200rpm. With a stock exhaust manifold ( assuming you have intake and exhaust ) you'll be shifting around 7500rpm cause your engine isn't really makin any power. With a good 4-1 header you'll be shifting around 8200rpm cause you can feel the engine makin power past 7500rpm. I know this cause I had a 4-1 header that got smashed up and now I have a stock exhaust manifold and I NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE!

the dc header makes you gain like 50whp. while you dont gain anything with the stock exhaust.

save your time and money and keep it stock or swap it, assuming its a d series.

a dc header gains that much power? if so, you should try a hytech style one.

aem cai = $200, B18C5 type-r = $4000, B16A = $2000. Is there difference?

thats stupid. who the hell pays 2000$ for a b16a. yes there is a different. the b series swaps are better! the cai wont do ****, if your looking for speed, your going the wrong way. do a turbo set up. 200$ is a waste of money to be spending on a d series cai.

Check out hmotorsonline.com---Their one of many sites out their but ive bought from them so I know their legit. You could just get a obd0 b16a1 for about a 1000$ then as far as transmission prob get a Y21 depending on what model honda you got...what honda you got? you can also get a "complete change over"....what honda you got?
