If they bolted in it'd probably be the 98-02 Accord Coupe.

As far as I can recall, the front seats will bolt into the 6th gen (98-02) chassis. Now the rear seats I don't know if they will fit without possibly changing the pans or the framing. You may be able to just remove the covers of the stock foams and cover them with the cl material. I am not sure though.

They bolt in the 6th gens, but like Dave said..the rear seats are a question mark..
From comparing the two of them, I think you would have to swap the panels along with the seats to get it to work. Ive never seen anyone do it though.

What about a 97 cl, is the bolt pattern in the front the same as 98-02 accord coupes, or are the cl's the same as the 97 accord coupes.

Not sure regarding the 97 CL. I would have to look at the "bolt pattern" to see. Im not familiar with the CL, just know it uses the same motor as the 98-02 Accords

Thats the thing, the 97 2.2 cl uses the f22b, as opposed to the 98-99 which uses the same f23 in the 98-02 accord. Although the 2 motors are almost identical. Just wondering because my cloth seats are hurting and its proven difficult to find first gen leather seats while the 2nd gen cl leather seats are relatively common.

Oh I wasnt referring to the i4 accords and CL's, I was actually talking about the v6, they both use the j30a1.
I guess if you can compare the bases, it should be easy to tell if theyll fit. I could take pictures of my bases (I own a 99 accord, so they should be the same as 03 CL's) that way you could compare it to your 97.

I believe that the seats are too wide for the 5th gen body style.

I have the back seat from a 99 CL in my accord coupe, easy fit but you have to take off the two clamps off the accord seat to have the CL seat fold.
