Default Need a little help with ej8

I have a silver civic coupe and am currently riding on 17'' wheels (unknown brand) im not really into speed, just more into looks. Im looking to lower the civ with lowering springs, possibly tein s techs, and am not going for a slammed look either. I just want the car to sit right above the top of the tire. But i am not sure if the s techs will bring it down that low. What is a good lowering height with either 17's or 16's? I was thinking about 16's but i really want a low profile tire (and yea i know that it will wear out quicker) but i dont really care. And i dont want to go with coilovers, just want to keep my OE struts (dnt have alot of cash). And dont want bottom end of the car to hit the ground.

I was looking at the rota p45r's in yamaha black in 17'' (like the look). But any 16'' wheels that look like the rota p45r's will be ok and might just change my mind.

So my question is what springs are there that will lower the car to the height i want with possibly 17'' or 16'' wheels, and also which wont require a whole lot of changing with the OE suspension.

H&R Sports drop pretty low, not slammed but lower than the S-Techs for sure.

Technically yes, but if they have high mileage on them, that would be not a good idea.

Whats a good strut thats gonna be close to OE? Dont really wanna change the OE suspension setup just want to close the gap. And like i said i dont want a slammed look, just want that gap closed and also want to stay away from coilovers.

Here are pics of what the gap looks like...

nice taillights buddy If you go with drop springs it would be best to upgrade your shocks too, just because you don't want a racy suspension set-up doesn't mean you should compromise driveability and quality...I'd look into somethink like KYB AGX or something similar if you want a cheap alternative to OE that will be good for a slight drop. Oh, and H&R Race/Sport are great springs...

First off. I don't believe in going bigger than 16's on a civic just because it looks funny imo but whatever you want. Teins are good from what I hear and should give you the ride height you want. As far as shocks go, I'd have to say KYB GR-2's they are pretty cheap and ride great. AGX's are good but you dont need adjustable shocks for just rolling around. All you'll be doing is spending more money. Good luck

yeah, I was thinkin GR-2 but couldn't remember if that's what they were and didn't feel like looking it up. Oh, and for those that don't think 17s can look good on a Civic - I beg to differ...

Although, I will admit that I'm switching to 16s in the Spring

Keep begging, because that doesn't look that great.... Sorry, just an opinion.

Don't bother me none, I don't really care for 'em that much but they definitely look better on there now that it's finally dropped.
