help (z6 head on y7 block) head gasket timeing belt

Default help (z6 head on y7 block) head gasket timeing belt

oke guys i looked and found not to much info i need to know asap i got a z6 head and a 99 y7 block i want to know what head gasket i should use and what timeing belt i heard that the y8 head gasket is better then the z6 head gasket also i wanted to know what timeing belt i should use correct me if im rong do i need the z6 timeing belt also if i convert a z6 dizzy caseing with y7 internals can i use a 99 ex ecu

also will the timeing be fine on the motor

y8 head gasket

you can repin the dizzy plugs or buy a obd2 to obd1 dizzy conversion harness http://rywire.com

Y8, its metal, and from what I gather its also cheaper, win win situation.

Z6, Y7 and Y8 are all the same at 104 teeth.

You can, but i'm not sure how well it will run, i seem to recall some timing differences between the Z6 and Y7/Y8. OBD2B to OBD1 adapter harness and chipped P28 would be a better option, or use a Y8 head.
