Any coupons for tire rack?
I saw someone on another forum saying there was a $50 off 4 tires coupon? Does anyone know of any coupons? I am about ready to buy 4 tires and before pulling the trigger would love saving any money.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Okay, here's the scoop on deals.
The Tire Rack does not offer deals like that ($50 off any set of tires) and they do not give discounts to clubs or other organizations.
As randomtask notes, sometimes there are rebates or other offers for specific brands and models of tires. These are almost always ones that are available for these brands and models no matter where you buy them. Every time I see one, and I've also looked at the tire manufacturer website, I see the same deal.
The other thing you may have seen is a $50 off deal at Discount Tire Direct. At one point (a couple of years ago, I think) they even offered $100 off on a set of four tires, for a very limited time. Since then, I have seen them offer $50 off on a set of four tires on several occasions; when they do, it is also for a very limited time (like 2-3 days at a time, no more). So you have to be very very lucky to find that when you need tires - or, if you don't see it right away, you can check every day or two to see if they're running it, but there's no guarantee that they'll run it again.
Bottom line, if you need tires now, buy them now. Especially if they're winter tires, which they run out of at this time of year.
Feel free to compare prices, and when doing so, keep in mind that Tire Rack charges $10-15 per tire for shipping, and shipping is free at Discount Tire Direct. I've found some good deals at other websites for specific brands - Toyo at onlinetires.com, endlessracing.com, and td4l.com, Falken at vulcantire.com, etc.
