Icon3 Window Tint or Fish Bowl - What's your Preference?

just wanted to see everyone's opinions on whether they like the illegal (can't see anything) window tint

or... if you guys and gals prefer clear / clean windows so you can see everything in and out.

let me know i'm interested.

a 3rd choice could be the mirror-tint, that ****'s pretty dope.

I used to like the 'superblack tanked out' look of the early 90's, but now I prefer just a medium tint all around. Plus, I had a car with limo on the rears and 20% on the fronts and got tired of getting harassed by the Highway Patrol.

mirror tint in my neck of the woods is considered....well...ahem...ethnic, let's say. I kinda like it on certain colors of cars.

btw- if you don't know what 'tanked out' means, it's where you put a windshield strip of tint on the top AND the bottom of the windshield. looks like you're watching the widescreen world on a traditional screen, black bars top and bottom.

I have fairly light tint on mine and I like it a lot compared to super dark or no tint at all. I do get pulled over 1-2 times a year for it, but I've never gotten a ticket. Don't know what percentage mine is since it came with the car... Maybe 40%, I guess.

I wouldn't ever get superdark tint because I know too many people with it who have backed into **** at night.

Tint can look nice depending on the color of the car and if its done well or not, but personally I prefer no tint because A. I don't enjoy being pulled over. and B. I do a lot of driving at night and like to be able to see to the sides and rear easily.

Depends on the tint color.

I have 35% green metallic kind and you can barely see into the car during the day.

My friend has a dark black 35% and it's pretty easy to see thru during the day

Well.. I did have purple tint on my hatch when I first got it.
Lets just say it takes forever, so I feel the pain for people who work at window tint shops.

I'm rockin oem no tint.. Idk I might get tint later on, but I like the clean look.

Depends on neighborhood lol. I park in a garage, therefore I would never put tint on my car. I dont like it. But if i lived like in seattle, tint and alarm would be priority.

Fish Bowl >oox> <~~horrible attempt of a fish.

tint helps a lot during summer when u don't have a/c... i got 5% on the rears and 20% on front...

i just end up rolling down the front windows and turning on the heater full blast if i see a cop nearby...

clear/clean CALI fish bowl look...but if i was to tint i would do an even light tint all the way around just to keep the clean look ...maybe a light brown or light metalic green like one of the people posted above

I guess it all depends on the car, but I am rocking the fish bowl on my EM1, and I think 30% all around on the Fit.

my current hatch is firepepper red metallic off a 02ish accord and i like the plain clear windows in it.

fishbowl would be a cleaner look.. Although I wouldnt mind getting the light bronze tint. Ive only seen a few cars with it (not the jdm bronze glass) and they look really nice.

I've had 5% on my previous civics I've own. I liked because it kept the interior cooler during the hot summer days and it looked pretty sick from the outside. I just took precautions when driving at night because of the lack of visible through the tint. The fishbowl look is clean too, but I feel its more appropriate for show cars and really clean/style street cars.

33% all around. I like fishbowl but my seats were faded so I got the tint to help prevent future fading
