Default 96-00 civic wiring harness ... swap-able?

i realize the 96-00 civic engine harness is one piece from the motor to the ecu but what i was wondering is if it removable/changable? my friend has a 99 civic dx and he is going to be putting in a b16 from a 2000 civic si. his harness is pretty messed up so we were wondering if it is possible to change the one piece harness with a harness from the civic si?

its alot easier to just cut and splice from the Si harness to yours. Just look for the truobled areas on ur harness and take em from the si

Unplug it from the ECU and underdash harness, there are 2 bolts or nuts on studs, remove them and pull the harness through the firewall. Its not hard at all.
