Default How to clean extremely dirty wheels?

Well i picked up a set of Old school wheels. Cleaned 3 of them with no problem (inside and out) and now i am stuck on the 4th. I have never seen anything like this on a wheel. The inside is coated with like 1/8 of an inch thick sludge/grease/****. Any household cleaners and brake cleaners that i have used just smears this stuff. Also it ruins anything that touches it. (went through 2 pack of rubber gloves and not even a 1/10th of the wheel is clean. SO any suggestions?

it's grease from ripped cv boot, use simple green. don't mix it, spray it all over the wheel, let it settle then scrub away...it should come off a lot easier. i used a crap load of paper towels and toothbrushes to smear all of it away
