Im outback in the frigid dick cold weather trying to figure out why the 7 stock bolts from my jdm b16a2 are different lengths. I have searched this now poor excuse for honda-tech and only come up with **** that is irrelevant to my question.

3 bolts are shorter and 4 bolts are longer with no thread towards the top. The longer of the two stop and become tight before even coming in contact with the new header. What bolts should i use to mount this bastard. the header is a hytech. I checked majestic to see what bolts a stock si calls for and it looks like all 7 are the same but they are longer. Any Insight?

 

Someone probably replaced them with the wrong ones. I would order a whole new set.

 

they should all be the same. regardless, if they aren't just get new ones. i don't understand the problem. fwiw, all the header studs on my JDM b16a were the same.

 

Yeah I just put a new header on my b16a2 and all the bolts were the same length and all went in perfect so I would say the person who owned the car before you switched some out for some stupid reason. Sounds like you gonna need to get a new set

 

Seriously, are we talking bolts or studs here?
