skunk2 ones or toda a's
so which ones guys? todas are about 200 dollars more. worth it? ive been seeing lots of good reviews for the skunk2's here lately but then ill read a post about how the cams dont install well or somthing, or they have a few "minor" problems with them, granted anything aftermarket will give some people problems, just seems theres alot more problem posts with the skunk2's, so is it worth the 200 bucks<or ive heard almost 300>difference? what do you think?
not to be rude...but I will be blunt. Use the search button, thats what its there for. You'll even find dyno plots on the crazy beaten down subject...(I know, becuase I created one. So use my name in the "created by" field if you want).
i know, i did a search and got their great and their horrible, it seems no one can agree on which ones best bang for the buck so to speak, and most that have good numbers on the skunk2's have higher compression, so if you jsut have mostly bolt ons, how do you raise C/R? like i said, any infos great.
looks like you've got a bit of reading to do....
I've got 1200 posts, and have spent considerable time analyzing various setups....haven't picked out what cams I want yet. There isn't just a simple bolt-in thing that is "good." You have to picture what you want as an entire system.
For me the Skunk2 Stage 2 (similar to Jun TypeIII), or the Toda A's will be the way to go. N/A route, and various other tweaking for the street.

narrow it down to fact that, they both perform about the same, both work with stock compression, and both dont need to be reved up crazy! but one cost $200 less!! you decide!! eric
I disagree, big differences between the Skunk2 Stage 2's and the Toda A's. The Toda A's will work with the stock springs while the S2 Stg2's have a very high lift.
Hard to compare the two.

I'm not trying to say that he should run those....I'm saying that for what my goals are, those two cams are what I'm considering. They both differ quite greatly, and so I still need to decide where I want my power, etc.
