Default What about the TBW system?

I am thinking of buying an si for a daily drive with ***! I have some questions before doing so, so i hope someone here can help out! First, is it true that all new si's including the 06 have the TBW system? I know you can get a throttle cable and ecu from an rsx, but if i can buy one with what i want i would rather do that! Also i hear some say that you can go k-pro with a tune, drop in filter, and some exhaust opening and get real low 14's even high 13's(onslicks) out of these. Can anyone agree with proof? Also anyone having any isues at all?

converting to the rsx ecu isn't as simple as throwing in the ecu and new throttle body. you have to run the car with both ecu's in with the civic ecu running the dash and the rsx ecu running the engine.

That isn't entirely true. There are 2 ways to run an RSX-S ecu. 1 way is the dual ecu method mentioned, the other is to convert the wiring completely to RSX-S specs and run custom gauges, lose a/c, cruise, vsa, etc

AKA The only way to do it is with 2 ECUs. Anybody that buys a brand new SI and then dumps all of the creature comforts is an idiot.

yea like all others have mentioned this: NOT worth the conversion...the only draw-back so far is the throttle bog/lag experienced at times- which has a kinda cheap fix using the P2R throttle body spacer...

so basically turn your $20k civic into a $500 crx? doesn't seem too smart. the only realistic way to do it is to run 2 ecus.
