Default my car will run with no plug wires

has anyone ever ran into this.. i replaced the distributor and when we started the car (00 civic w/ turbo gsr) it was runing like it was on 1-2 cylnders so we were pulling the wires out to see which cylnders were working properly and with all the wires pulled outta the head the motor was still runing. what would you think ?

it was creating its own spark somehow? friction wouldn't have caused it, might have been something wrong in the piston chamber

I gotta see this! Were were the wires? Still connected to the distributor? This just makes no sense.

you have your 2 and 3 plug wires crossed....as far as the running without ALL OF THEM HOOKED UP, I call B.S. it is physically impossible.....IMPOSSIBLE

its not possible for combustion to occur without a great amount of heat or a spark source.

you either have one seriously f'ed up engine or you are seriously mistaken.

With combustion fairies and a sprinkle of spark dust anything is possible!

With all these threads floating around H-T where cars won't start. This guy has his plug wires laying on top of his valve cover and his car is running??

i did a compression test a bit ago....
then did a wet test, poured about 2 capful of oil in #1 cylinder.
the motor had enough compression when cranked, it was as though the engine still ran

Default Seen it before

I run accross this once before and it was because someone mistakenly put deasel fuel in the gas tank AND yes you will not be able to turn the engine off.
