i have my setup complete and i've never taken my car to the drag strip. i have only participated in a few auto x events and was wondering what RPM's i should launch my car at. i have a few guys at my work with some 427r mustangs and i need to set them straight kuz i know they can't hook up for crap. please help fellas. here's my set up.

98 hatch fully gutted.
5 lug.
ITR w/LSD with a T25/35 turbo.
car is boosting about 9-10lbs.
made 305whp and 290 at a DD tune.

i was guessing at launching somewhere between 3-4000rpm's but im not sure just a guess. please help me out. thanks in advance

 

Launch high man 6800 or higher. What kind of tires? Slicks or radials?

 

There RPM that gives you the best 60ft is where you launch your car. Simple as that.

 

You dont think they will hook for ****.....Hondas dont hook for ****, i almost always get beat off the line, even with drag radials...

But for some help, on econo street tires, i launched around 3500 to 4000 and acheived a 60ft of 2.3
On drag radials, id launch at 6500 and would get a 60ft of about 2.1 i know not good, but it was an improvment....
