Default My fuel pump main relay's making noise. car wont start.. pls help.

i have a 99 ex with an ls swap in it running on a p28 for now, has a viper alarm also. car ran fine up until 2 days ago. had the car idleing and all of a sudden just dies. hear the fuel pump shut off and the click by the ecu. turn the key to start it again and it just cranked. tried again and it started again, sure enough 2 min later dies again, now it only cranks, the pump wont turn on, CEL displays very lightly if not at all, when i change computers to a obd2-b the relay ticks, i checked the fuses and there all good, tried another relay and did the same thing. right before the issue happened, i hooked up a stereo system like sub, amp etc..., than after that, thats when it happened, but i than disconnected the stereo and the car still wont start. i have no idea what the issue could be. does anyone know what might be wrong? id really appreciate it. thanks...

did honda put something in the car so if something were to go wrong like that, it goes into limp mode?

Sounds like your Alternator is giving up on you. Have that checked out!

My guess is it could be your fuel filter, Honda suggests they should be maintainenced every 60,000 miles. I will be replacing mine tomorrow. As for the electrical, i don't know what to tell you, have you checked your main relay under the driverside dash? that could have went bad also. good luck.

I think a drop in battery/system voltage can cause relays to go a little nuts. Check for loose wires, battery, alternator, or relay is on its way out.
