Default Cons of using a delsol as a drag car

I know people say the wheelbase on the delsol is too short but is that really a big issue?

Any other cons of using a delsol? Probably would end up in the spfwd field. Thanks

I've also heard they're a bit tough to drop weight on, but then again if you build it to SFWD specs you'll have no problem being over 2500.

Not mines belong to my boy... 1fastsol

sorry no pic of the cage, but Six Sigma Racing did the cage and it looks damn nice and yes it pass tech with no problem...and if you ask Danny at S.S.R. it was a pain in the ***...
Wheelie bars can be taken off to run t4/sfwd and installed back on for q8 races...

I LOVE that car, something so different but so clean and neat!

The downside I can see besides the cage is the aero, the rear decklid is nice and flat but the back window kills. However I think you could most likely run a wing off that and it would be legal.

To be honest, I've thought about it. I'm at the point where I need a cage for 11.50 and plan to be doing 135mph also. Talking to guys here who do cages, and talking to Division 6 in NHRA, they are almost impossible to legally cage, due to the helmet away from the cage rule (2 inches) inless your short, or wanna be sitting on the floor. Which is both not me and would be a pain for daily driving.

I'm looking to put it into a EG coupe, but to each their own. If you don't plan to daily drive it, I'm sure it's fine, just a bitch, and may make the rear window inop.
