Default A bunch of installiation questions.

So I'm buying my first Integra and want to add some stuff to it. I'm going to link so some parts on ebay and you guys should let me know first if they seem like decent parts, and second how hard they would be to self install on a scale from 1 to 10. Leave any other comments on the parts if you want. Thanks! (PS, I know some of them are ending soon, but there are others that end at later dates.)

Cold Air Intake

Catback Exhaust
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=370109212055

Headlight Bulbs (are these the right ones if I have the bug eye headlights? do they go into all four of the lights or what?)

Tail Lights

Any suggestions about different parts are welcome. Sorry if I seem noobish I am new to this so yeah. Any links to other parts would be nice as well. These are just some of the first parts I plan to get.

What year is your car? You do know that the 90-93 integras are different than the 94-01 right? The exhaust and header is for a different car than the rest of the parts. Also all those parts suck. Buy good parts because in the end that's what you'll be doing anyway. Go look in the marketplace for some parts, not ebay. You are going to have to spend more but it will be worth it. You could also look at buying used name-brand parts.

My bad. It's a a 96. I just realized the headers are for older models. Any links to where I could find better parts?

Don't do it!!! you get what you pay for... and remember you gotta pay to play... I'd suggest you search about which parts and brands are best for our cars... What are your goals for the car? I'm guessing just a daily driver?

Pick up a current issue of Honda Tuning and take notes from other cars, or check out the build threads thats all over this site, that should give you a good idea on parts and what direction you want to go with your car.

Ok, so no to eaby. What about the lights on there? I understand why not to buy some of the performance parts but are buying lights or bulbs on there ok?

As for goals for the car it will be a daily driver, I just want to make it a little more fun to drive and nice to drive.

Also I would also like any links to certain brands for the preformance parts. I can look and plan to but links are always very welcome.

Haha I don't plan to rice. I just want to enhance the performance of the car a bit and make it look a little nicer. All I plan to do with lights is get some new tail lights, get the brighter head lights and change the bulbs behind the gauges.

But talk brands, oem is a good one? From the little reading up I've been able to do on here so far I've seen nothing but good stuff about it.

Don't change the tail lights with anything other than OEM ones. You will be the laughing stock of the world if you do.

To us the tail lights you posted are rice. however it is your car so do what you want.
Like others have said, you get what you pay for. You might as well spend more money now on better parts then to cheap out and replace them with better parts later.
try looking at
www.passwordjdm.com
www.jhpusa.com
www.inlinefour.com
www.hmotorsonline.com
www.kingmotorsports.com
www.robearracing.com
www.evasivemotorsports.com
or our own marketplace.
I've bought things from all these sites except king motor sports

hell if you want a semi decent header made for a DC check my for sale link in my sig. I have a DC header. It's not in the best shape but I never had a problem out of it and it's def. better than the one you posted a link to.

stay away from
www.jdmcarboy.com
I've heard bad things about that place, a few good, but more bad than I care to deal with.

Good luck.

Be careful on that as you will start to get flamed or docked for continuesly asking those questions in here. Just do your research to determine what would be best for your goals. Good luck

just to make sure you know oem isnt an aftermarket company its anything stock that came from the car manufacturer. you mostly hear only good things because they're usually extremely reliable parts (at least from honda it is). but for sure check out those websites posted above and try to stay away from no name parts from egay. the usual reliable brands are companies like AEM, DC, TEIN, HKS, SKUNK2 and a countless number of others. most of the realible ones are sold at those sites from above.

just try to always research your question first an be sure to check the site sponsors and the marketplace
