Does anyone know if the seibon carbon fiber doors are 100% carbon or do they still have a metal frame with just a carbon skin?

 

they're just carbon door panels...not the whole door. Although I've seen entire doors for the s2k, but I'm not sure who makes them.

 

dang. the seibon's are expensive enough; I don't even want to know what the full door costs.

only the door body panel is made with wet carbon fiber on seibon.

you can get the full dry carbon fiber door from ASM, but they are almost $10k.

Thank you for that introduction. So glad you enjoy my numerous post of my S2000. I will have my dry carbon doors painted and on the car soon.

This will also compliment the Mugen CF hardtop and the CF doors.

I see nothing wrong with carbon. I wouldn't really put carbon doors on my car because i could think of cooler things to do with my money but I like the carbon center console. I love the look of the full carbon interiors on the Enzo Ferrari and stuff. Those things look INSANE in person! And the full carbon body on the Lamborghini Murcialago R-GT. Droooool.

Well sweet I don't know what your center console has to do with carbon fiber doors but hey get the word out about that **** however, it looks cool. The problem with making a complete door out of carbon is that there is channels for the weather stripping and all this mechanism **** that has to do with the goods that doors have to offer. I hate the way that Seibon makes their **** with chop strand fiberglass on the backside!!!! Word???

 

mmmm dry carbon goodness, really wish the teg had carbon doors when we were spelunking parts off my friends shell, ****ing doors are heavy!!!! and it had manual windows too!!!!
