Default 600RR-More swap advice appreciated!

hi guys, i was very pleased with the last advice i got on here about swapping my bike.
the presently dead market in my country has turned it into "swap mayhem"! with lots of people opting to swap instead of sell, just to change their ride or maybe to get hold of something that they reckon might be easier to shift.

anyways, the latest offer i've had is to swap my bike:

'03 CBR600RR-3 on a '04 plate
12000miles
race slip-on
power commander

plus a few hundred quid for a:
'02 CBR954RR on a '03 plate
13000miles
remus exhaust

*i've had my RR for 2 and 1/2 yrs and altough still happy with it, i feel i could do with a change and something a bit bigger, not really in power but actual size, cos im a big lad!
i've always wanted the 954, esp. this color, and this sounds like an alright move to me?
*should i spend the extra money and try for a CBR1000RR?
*anyone here who's owned both these bikes?
*is my 600RR a better, stiffer twisty road beast than this 954cc monster?
i've heard of some racers welding or putting bits of frame in on either the 929 or 954? like the whole 'engine as a stressed member' thing was only good enough for the street?

i also saw this and he said he may swap for a 600cc (maybe cant handle it?/thinks it may be easier to sell a 6?)
'04 GSXR1000K4
mileage not stated
lots of extras

any thoughts much appreciated!

also, my roommate has his 954RR and i have an 06 1000RR, and when i first got my 1000RR, he rode it and he about **** his pants. he couldent believe how quick it was. so there is a definate difference between the 954 and the 1000RR.

I didn't see anything about trading for a 1000rr. I would go for the gsx-r 1000 then sell it squids will jump all over it and search around for what u really want.

good point, and the GSXR is of a higher value, even tho its a UK import that hasn't been registered here yet. i'll give him a call now.
the guy with the 954 said he has a cash offer from a guy just waitin on money and if he doesnt come up with it he'll do a deal with me, he has'nt been in touch since

thanks for the feedback so far everyone! and yes, the 1000RR is some machine, maybe i should try hard to sell the 600RR and start saving!!

i would think a little light nimble 600rr would be more fun to get around on over there than a liter size bike. but if your a bigger guy and you can get a 954 for a lil more money i would def do it.

ive always wanted a 929/954 to make a fighter out of.

your right, the 600RR is TONS of fun! lots of people dont know why i want to change, including the dyno operator on saturday (perfect fuelling, 103rwhp with crappy chain/sprockets) i am a bit big for it alright tho.
well, the guy with the 954 got a cash sale so thats gone now

if i manage to sell mine i reckon i'd put some money with it and try for a 1000RR next!
a great bike, and surely there's a bit more room on it than the 600?
i got some offers already on mine, a K2 GSXR1k, 99 ZX-7r, and mazda RX7!!
hopefully more to come!

UPDATE:
Well between swapping and selling, I finally sold my 600 that time. I also posted about an Aprillia swap and i wasnt sure what to go for.
I wouldnt go saying this on local forums but i managed to pick up a mint '04 U.S import 1000RR with 4500 miles for €750 on top of what i got from the 600RR sale, with some nice extras and new tires, i dont know how many dollars that is but it worked out good for me!! (recession? 'n all)

I was almost a bit overwhelmed with the big power at first, and the physical requirements and geographical limitations of wringing a litre bikes' neck. But i got a few hundred miles in at the weekend there and im very happy with it now, could defo get a good few years of pleasure out of this! (If i dont lose my licence in that time )
I know i would have been happy with a newer 600, and now i'm a little sad that if i get up on a 600 again, i might be thinkin "This thing has NO power"!!

Thanks to all here, and on my other posts, for the help, advice and patience as i combed through every machine for sale in the land hehe, it paid off in the end! thanks

its fairly beautiful alright! and its mind warpingly fast and handles brilliantly. I hope my luck stays up! i'll try to keep it looking sweet, that will be my incentive to slow down and be cautious.
If any of you ever come to ireland i'll give you a spin off it!
