Quaife make them, Wavetrac or whatever it is called, can't find that thread, and you can always get a type-r lsd

If your planning on boosting then go with the best. QUAIFE.
But if you want to just drive around type R. I have also moticed that when you LSD you dont feel that much torque anymore either.

if you plan on any type of racing, go with a clutch type. more maintenance required but it will work out better for you.

I have Quaife LSD. It is wonderful. I think there are a few threads on this site you can search for. What are you into? There are different types of Limited Slip Diffs out there. It all depends on your budget though.

I honestly think you have no idea on what you're talking about.

It's very hard to get a Quaife these days, but if you can get one they are definitely very good and last a long time.

The best and cheapest compromise for most of us is to install the OEM Honda Torsen axle that was available as an option on many K motor cars, and standard in many markets on the EP3 CTR and DC5 ITR.

I have an OEM Honda Torsen axle on my DC2 track car with a K20A(*) in it, and it works pretty well.

They're generally easily found and they're a lot cheaper than the alternatives.

My recommendation assumes that you're not building a race car and don't need it to work off throttle. If you're all that fast and want it to work off throttle, then you're going to have to look at some of the clutch packs. A lot more money and a lot more trouble.

Do you know a part number or where I can find info on the Torsen axle that you're talking about?

quaife does not make wavetrac. the company that makes wavetrac WAS the american authorized dealers for quaife. now that theyve released their own brand quaife does not deal with them no more...

to my knowledge.

I'm going to bank on the Type R LSD for my car when I need it. Right now my tires are holding me down pretty well with just my bolts ons and my not extremely fast car.

If you're talking to me, no, I don't know the part number.

But what you want is the limited slip differential from a 2002-2005 EP3 CTR or DC5 ITR.

Don't assume that it's limited slip because all markets did not get limited slip as standard equipment. You have to specifically shop for the limited slip (Torsen) axle.

Quaife is a good lsd for daily driving, should you want to venture onto the track I'd recommend the Kaaz 1.5
I run this in my rsx and it has held up great and does the job.

Wavetrac is NOT OBX. As stated above the american dist. of Quaife created their own lsd and they have since changed their name to Wavetrac. Its the same thing as Quaifes design as they copied it down to a T. It still comes with a lifetime warranty BUT I'd look into it some more should you try and modify it in any way even from them.

Kaaz does require more maintenance, but for track its one of the best.
Quaife does well, but its more of a DD lsd.
Type R lsd is decent, a step below Quaife but for the price you cant complain.
