Hey guys, my girlfriend has a 97 DX coupe. The car is the stock Frost White. This spring we are planning on painting the mirrors, side moldings, license plate surround, door handles, and side skirts Frost White to match the body and adding a Si lip. Also, we plan on swapping to the black housing JDM headlights, amber fender signals, and amber square fog lights. This should give you an idea of what the car looks like since I'm sure you've all seen this parts before and colors.
Since we live in Iowa the car will run two sets of rims and tires - one for summer and one for winter. The winter set has already been decided on as the stock 14" steelies with Bridgestone Blizzak tires. I myself hate hubcabs and would rather just paint the steelies a different color since I'm not much of a fan of black rims on a white car. I was thinking of painting them white and possibly painting the lug nuts red. What colors would you guys go with?
Nextly, we are looking around for rims for the summer time. We will be running a Kuhmo Solus KR21 tire for those. Currently, my girlfriend is trying to decide between GSR Blades or a set of Rotas, namely the Slipstreams. She really likes the polished and also sort of likes the idea of white rims also. What might you guys go with for rims and colors? How about lug nuts?

Thanks for the pictures, those help a lot.
I talked to the girlfriend more about this today. The only problem going with polished rims is that nothing else on the car is polished. All of her badging is going to be switched over to the JDM "H" badges which are red and silver. Also, the "Civic" and "DX" badges will be removed from the trunk. The tailights will be switched to the 99-00 style red and white tails. The headlights will be the black housing JDM ones. Fenders will have the amber turn signals on them and we will be adding the amber square foglights. Also, we will be using the Si lip and grille as well as the Si/EX rear spoiler and possibly rear bumper lip. Essentially most of the car will be white with black tinted windows. The only thing I'm wondering about this setup is if the amber turn signals and foglights would clash with the white too badly, but I want this car to remain legal and not have to use white turn signal bulbs.
The colors I was thinking for rims would be white, black, bronze, or gunmetal. My only problem about black rims is that they blend in with the tires too well, especially the Slipstreams. She's not a big fan of bronze or gunmetal, so those may be out. I'm thinking we may end up going Type R style with white Slipstreams and red lug nuts and paint the brake calipers red to match.
I finally figured out how I'm going to paint the steelies, so I'll hopefully get those done this weekend. We'll probably paint the steelies white. I was thinking of painting the lug nuts red to that way we'd get an idea of what it would look like with white Slipstreams and red lug nuts. I'll probably end up picking up some of the shallow lug nuts to use with the steelies instead of the ones made for hubcaps since the hubcap ones stick out quite a ways.

My new personal favorite i just painted for a customer from here is the Type R 4 lug replica that i painted oem gunmetal nh-546. i just bought some drag Dr20 gold w/polish lip before he brought me these.i would trade my rims for a set. My paint thread that got locked by a mod is at the bottom incase people need paint work.

Yea, I'm really digging the Slipstreams on white Civics. My only other thought about the GSR rims is that since they're a stock rim a lot of people probably wouldn't think they're a non-stock rim for the Civic. Also, usually you can find a better deal on the Rotas than you can the GSR blades.
