98 accord light's dead sometimes. need help.
i have a 98 accord sedan and sometimes when the interior lights would die. also sometimes it would be hard to start the car as well. sometimes it won't even start. what could be the problems, i've change the battery already.
I'd recharge it again, start the car and check the alternator output.
With a volt meter, check the voltage at the BATTERY TERMINALS, not the cable clamps.
You should see between 13.8 and 14.2 volts.
If you do, then the alternator and the battery cables are ok.
If you do NOT, remove the cables from the battery; clean them AND the battery terminals with sandpaper - reassemble.
If you now have 13.8 to 14.2 volts, congratulate yourself for fixing a high-resistence connection which was keeping the battery from recharging.
If that didn't address the problem, we're most likely going to ask for some clarification on the "hard / won't even" start problem.
let me know.
