this is my first honda, i had a 01 new beetle 1.9 tdi before this and so far i dont regret it. i had a build thread on the old H-T and well here it is again.

i bought this car about a month ago for $1200 and it was bone *** stock. its a 91 civic dx 5 speed, so far ive put some tein lowering springs for a nice and easy 2.5 inch drop, new sony head unit, pioneer speakers, some honda rims cause i wasnt feelin the steelies, plasma glow yellow hi beams, tint, clock from a 91 lx, and on the way is a little clear coat.

and my new exhaust. i got a 16 inch glass pack with 2 1/4 inch pipe from the resonator back and a generic tip. its not flashy but it sounds real nice, not to loud and i really like the tone.

What is the lip from?

 

a 93 volvo 923 wagon of all things. i been eyeballin it for weeks. it bolted right up using the volvo bolts and clips and all i hd to do was trim about 1 1/2 inch off the ends. real sturdy too.

 

I JUST GOT MY CAR BACK AFTER 3 WEEKS AND ALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT OF BULL ****!! I ENDED UP PAYIN ALMOST 500 BONES FOR SOME ONE TO FIX MY TIMING AND FRANKENSTEIN A DIZZY FOR ME! I WENT TO A SHOTTY PLACE IN THE L.R THAT I THOUGHT WAS A GOOD PLACE TO GO BUT ENDED UP CHARGING 186 BUCKS AN HOUR LABOR!! NOT TOLD UPFRONT AND I WILL ASK FROM NOW ON, IM NO FOOL IVE BEEN AROUND AND LIKE TO FIX MY OWN CAR BUT JUST DIDNT HAVE THE KNOW HOW ABOUT HONDAS AND ANYWAY IM SOOOOOOOO HAPPY AGAIN AFTER 3 WEEKS OF NO CAR IM HAPPY TO HAVE MY BITCH BACK, SOOOOOOO HAPPY. AND BTW: IF YOU LIVE IN THE CENTRAL ARKANSAS AREA DO NOT GO TO DONNIES IMPORT AND 4X4 GO TO GO GREEN GARAGE, I HATE TO NAME DROP BUT IN THIS CASE I HAVE TO,I HATE A DISHONEST GARAGE AND THATS WHAT DONNIES IS! ( i forgot capps was on, sorry for yelling. lol)

 

$186 an hour for labor!!!!??? jeez I work at a lexus dealership and we charged $110 an hour and i thought that was alot, but damn i hate when shops try to take advantage of people and rip them off.

 

oh yea, i was pissed ! i wished i wouldve wrote them a check a put a stop payment on it after it was towed. and the bad thing is, is that i warned them ahead of time that im broke and work at a conv store so...ya know.

 

damn shitty man, if i were you i would buy a manual and just do the work yourself from now on saves a bunch money, you learn new stuff and fell better cause you did all the work, just grab your self a craftsman mechanic set if you dont have any tools i know they sell like 200+piece kist for like under $200 or right around there.

 

yea, i got tools. im just a lil inexperianced and lazy but after that bout im gonna start gettin off my *** and doin it. lol

yep, it does but it aint happening again brother. lol went today and had my cat conv. cut off, it was bad clogged and had a straight pipe but in thanks to soome jackass leaving a brick in the road as well but i really dont like the tone or the loudness. got to get a resonator or another cat on there soooooon!

 

i need a head if anyone has one for sale!
