Can VX rims with good rubber handle good?
I am going to be picking up a set of rims very soon, i was initially going to get HX but they are way too big of a hassle to come accross in Canada so i will settle for the VX. I don't really care about looks much because either way the wheels will be flat black and not really noticable, plus the main reason i want the vx is because they are after all only 9 lbs. I was wondering if i threw on a good set of rubber whether or not i will have good grip or these rims just aren't wide enough to support good rubber.
Also just wanted to make sure, will Vx rims clear integra rear disks?

vx rims are really too small to get good street tire for. there are not alot of choices for 13" wheels. also you are right they arent really wide enough to handle a descent width tire. i think the rim width is only 5" maybe 5.5. the fact that they are 13" also meens you will have a fairly large sidewall, that meens more room to flex, which is not good. yokohama does make the AO32R in a 175/60/13 size though. i dont know how you feal about driving with these on the street but they are great tires for the track.
