Hey guys. I am wondering what honda knuckle avalible would be my best be for using them on a custom double wishbone setup for a project I have, I know some hondas have macphearson style suspension, but just wanted to find out what has a readily avalible double wish setup. Sorry if this is a dumb question, it's 5am, and honda's aren't on my mind right now. Thanks

Any 92-00 Civic or 94-01 Integra knuckle should be readily available.
From what I've read, though, Honda double-wishbone isn't really the more ideal design with the tall upright knuckle. Most double-wishbone suspensions use a shorter knuckle, with upper and lower control arms. For space reasons, though, I guess Honda went with a taller knuckle that curves around the tire, allowing a longer upper control arm without intruding as much on space in the engine bay.

Exactley, I was thinking about cutting the taller part down and then tapping a hole and make it a smaller knuckel. I just really want the honda spline to work for the axles.

Ah I see. Cutting the knuckle down wouldn't work unless you have something machined for the tapered ball joint stud hole. The hole is tapered to match the taper on the ball joint stud, which helps keep the connection tight.

Kinda hard to see, but I need to do a setup like this. I am going to go check out my prelude and see if it would work, because I would like to have the larger brakes and 5 lug to start with.
are you going to use FWD or RWD?
is your chassis something completely custom? all tube frame?
then why "honda"?
if its RWD, the obvious choice is s2000 front knuckles btw. only true "in wheel" double wishbone suspension honda made other than NSX.

are you going to make the suspension pushrod like you showed above?

Yeah, I will look into the S2000 knuckles. The suspension will be cantiliever like in the pic. I guess my real concern is getting the right spline for the axles so I can use a K-Series, because I want to keep the custom machining down to a minimum due to cost, the ideal setup would be something like this (pic below) that would have the K-axle spline, and then I could make my own "knuckle", but I dont know how realistic that would be to find that.
BTW, it will be RWD, pretty much a DIY atom, built to my specs.

The guy who did the Kimini is now attempting exactly what you are trying to do: a rwd K-powered Lotus 7 replica. Check out the website http://www.midlana.com.
He is going to use Miata knuckles with custom axles.

I will post a build for sure. I am in the pre fab stages. I am just getting a game plan before I actually start having parts made, but I do have all 4 corners of the the suspension and steering rack already, this is really my last big thing to get around. I might just have to go the custom axle route and use whatever knuckles I can get to work.
