Storing my car...
I am recluctantly putting my car under storage insurance and keeping it in my parents garage for the school year because I can't afford it.
My question is, what do I need to do before putting it in storage and what do I do to take care of it during storage? It will be for about 8 1/2 months, and through the winter. I can't drive it at all (which I know would help). Should I just have my parents back it out once a week and let it warm up or something? Anything special to do over the winter time? Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

if your parents do not plan on driving it at all.. I would put it up on jack stands (all 4 corners) so you don't get flat spots on your tires, and disconnect your battery... even though its going to be in your parents garage... make sure they lock it all the time and put an autolock or club on since your alarm won't be of use (no battery/power)... you might want to put it on an automatic battery conditioner/trickle charger if you want... plug up the exhaust and put a car cover over it maybe...
if you haven't already put in a kill switch that you have to push or flick before the car can be started and just turn the switch to OFF.... I forget what that fuel additive is to get water out.. can't think of the name.. I'm sure someone else that knows will say...
when you get back from school (I'm assuming summer break)... check your tire pressures, and while its up in the air change all the fluids, make sure the battery is OK and run that tank to E... then fill it up w/ all new gas...
feel free to add or correct if I left anything out...
